Looking for some advice on Fantasy Stockings – Blog or Shop?

January 28, 2017 under News

Hello friends and followers,

Recently I’ve been thinking to change my design to look more like a tights shop rather than a blog. Then I thought about it… I’ll look like all the rest and I may lose my uniqueness.

How do you feel that this site being structured primarily as a blog rather than a shop?

I appreciate your thoughts, thanks!

Love for shoe shopping – online & offline

August 26, 2014 under Practical

Somehow every time I go on vacation, I seem to stock up on shoes. With all the great deals that I see in American malls, I just can’t resist. On my recent trip I acquired four new pairs. I got two new pairs of flats and two pairs of heels. In Canada our prices are not nearly as attractive.

Recently I’ve been considering to buy shoes online. If it’s a sexy type of shoe that I use for mostly photoshoots, then I am willing to take the risk if it’s not a perfect fit. One of my friends actually signs up to all the newsletters that send out deals on online shopping.

To my surprise I see that some sales online are actually better than what I can get in stores. Perhaps one big advantage to shop online is that items are quick to find. On my trip I stopped at Ross to look at some deals and I found the shoe I wanted, but only one shoe! Even after I asked for help to find the second one, nobody could figure out where it was. I walked out empty-handed.

Another advantage is that people who wear larger sizes like 9, 10, and 11 get amazing deals online since these sizes are usually left over. Crossdressers, for example, are often shy to buy shoes for themselves in public. Claiming that their wife has size 11 feet would probably get the sales person suspicious, even though in theory they actually don’t care since they just want to make that sale.

Just recently I also discovered a helpful way to make a decision on which shoe to buy. Since online you always have a photo available, putting it up on social media and asking people to vote / comment may reveal some points that you haven’t considered. These cork shoes, for example, were bought after I did a bit of a survey on social media and saw that lots of people voted for these.

No More Google Ads on Fantasy Stockings

May 17, 2013 under News

Dear friends, I would like to give you an update about Fantasy Stockings.  As you may notice, there are some changes taking place on this website and you may be curious to know about it.

Fantasy Stockings no longer runs Google Adsense advertisement (or ads generated by any other pay per click network) on the blog posts.  In general that means that user experience will be greatly improved.

Perhaps this was not really the way it was planned by me.  I was hoping that by having Google Adsense on my blog I would be able to generate some funds in order to maintain this blog.  Just a few days ago Google Adsense disqualified Fantasy Stocking due to an article published about a male fashion model wearing hosiery.

As I obviously would not want to limit myself with the content published on my blog, I am transferring to another way of operating without being limited with what topics I can publicly discuss here.  I knew this would happen some day, so I had a back up option ready to launch waiting, as a source of funding instead of Google ads.

For this reason this website is taking a dual form.  It is partially a blog, partially an online shop for popular Polish brands like Gatta, Gabriella, Fiore, and perhaps soon I can introduce some like Sesto Senso, Ballerina, Intrigo, and Mona (Tespol).

You are welcome to browse my initial selection at the Shop Section.

LoveEncore is back on Youtube!

November 28, 2012 under Love

One of my favourite channels on Youtube is by Karen who is a single lady (she was married, but her husband tragically died) and she runs a fun and flirty show about how to start dating again for the 2nd time.  That’s why her channel is Love Encore – meaning Love Again.

Karen is a self-proclaimed Cougar and she shares ideas on sex and dating on her blog, Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter.  I admire her confidence and resilience.

Youtube for some reason had a different opinion about Karen because she was sending out too many videos, so they deleted her original channel without notice.  Please subscribe to her new channel here:

 http://www.youtube.com/karenleepoter

In the episode below Karen speaks to women who run a lingerie shop about why it is important to wear nice undergarments and she also tells a story about how she got tangled up in her stockings and garter belt.  They also touch up on a new bedroom trend – body jewellery!

What is Customer Service Like at Fogal Hosiery in Vancouver?

May 8, 2012 under Fogal

Yesterday was a bit of a frustrating experience for me.  You see, I never actually owned a pair of Fogal hosiery.  I decided to send my guy to buy me some from the local Fogal boutique that recently opened in Vancouver.  He went there, but returned empty-handed.

What happened?

“I didn’t get any customer service”, he said.  Turned out that when he came to the store, there was only one person working (the manager) and she was talking to a female customer.  He picked out something that he liked from the sample display and asked the manager three times for that specific item in size Medium.  All that needed to be done was to run the purchase through the cash register, that’s it!  After being in that store for some time (15 minutes according to his estimation), he walked out.

I was surprised, last time I was there I got really good service.  So I picked up the phone and called up the boutique.  The explanation I got was that the staff is trained to stay with the customer that they started working with until the end.   She explained that the other customer seemed to be very needy and required assistance.  That’s why the manager could not interrupt her conversation with the other customer and go to the cash register to process a sale.  I agree to an extent here, but if you are the only staff in the store, sometimes you need to multi-task.  She was polite and of course she apoligized, but there was no offer extended to compensate for that unfortunate experience.

I wonder if his gender made any difference.  Could it be different if it would be a woman coming in to make a purchase?  I find that sometimes in high end stores staff only watch out for their “target market”.  They may not even greet a customer if for some reason they don’t think that this person is going to buy much because of their youth or simple clothing.  I really hope that’s not the case since my first experience with Fogal was quite positive.

I am sad that it didn’t work out.  Maybe some day I’ll order it online or buy it in Toronto’s store.  This time, instead of Fogal, I went to the Wolford boutique that is literally across the corner from them and purchased another pair of Neon 40 in Cosmetic shade (skin tone).  You see, my guy was too upset to go back to the Fogal store.

I am still open-minded about the Fogal brand and I judge people favourable.  At least for now I prefer to think that it was simply inexperience of the staff  person to multi-task while working alone with multiple clients.

Note Added Later: I heard from some of my fans that they went to Fogal and got good customer service.  So maybe it was just a day of bad luck.  I would also like to say that I had AMAZING customer service at Fogal in Toronto. What is customer service like at Fogal for you?  Would love to hear.

Pierre Molinier – artist with a hosiery fetish

March 11, 2012 under Art

Some call it Fetish, some call it Art.  Recently I went to visit Vancouver Art Gallery with my friend to see surreal art exhibit and one photograph left an impression on me, it was by Pierre Molinier.

Pierre Molinier and Stockings

Pierre Molinier has many photographs featuring black stockings.

I came across two photos of a man and a woman, both wearing black fishnet stockings – that caught my eye right away.  I went to that spot twice to write down the name and look at the picture one more time.

The artist, Pierre Molinier (1900 – 1976), was obsessed with black stockings and shapely legs – both male and female.  He admitted that there is nothing more sexual for him then a shapely leg covered in black nylon.

I advise you not to check his work too much if you are sensitive to sexual content.  I am myself quite sensitive to violence and explicit nudity in art galleries.  However, I figure I’ll let you know that there was an artist who was seriously into hosiery and even our local art gallery finds him worth displaying!

High Heel Sport – Fast and Sexy

July 17, 2011 under Weird

Let’s talk about something to warm up the winter.  How about some exotic exercise, like a jog on high heels? Would you like to sign up your wife for this high heel contest?  She may need a pair of shoes to flaunt!

There is also such thing as lingerie football, but those women wear garter belts and even garters, but no stockings.  I suppose that they need to wrap their knees and feet for protection, so they can’t really have sheer clothing over it.

I think we need to get more lingerie sports, it would be very entertaining. Any other ideas?  Wrestling?  Let’s say for sure not fencing!

I guess that nothing really compares to running on high heels because this is something that women have to do from time to time.  It’s a good skill to have!  I’ve done lots of it in my school years, running to the bus stop to catch the bus on time.
