I shall say that this is the first time in almost a decade that I am going bowling. I’ve been asking many times to go, but then something would come up. Coincidentally I got my hands on a coupon book that offered a deal on bowling and I took off there with my teen cousin who is visiting from abroad.
She spent at least an hour getting ready, so I figured to put on a funky shirt and some cool fishnets (a gift from a fan, thanks Marty!) to share her enthusiasm. She is wearing Maloria tights by Fiore in case you are wondering with tight gym shorts over them.
We were both surprised that this bowling alley only had 5 pin version and smaller balls. Turns out that this is a true Canadian way to bowl. It is a little bit tougher to play than regular 10 pin bowling. We had a lot of fun and it was a new challenge for both of us.
One of the shows that I really wanted to see in Las Vegas was X-Burlesque. I was really excited about it, so I put on some sexy stockings with a garter belt and a sparkly dress. As I was walking around, people thought I was part of the entertainment crew because of all the glitter.
It was a really nice production and all the dancers had amazing endurance to last through that entire show. There was a lovely scene with sheer stay up stockings when dancers were taking them off each other. Otherwise, they only had fishnet stockings throughout the show.
This show is a topless show, so it was made clear on the ticket and you actually had to initial it that you understand what you are about to see. I would appreciate if there would be more build up or more tease factor leading to the topless part. Somehow in my opinion they took off the tops too soon.
From a professional point of view I think that the dancers could move more uniformly, as they were not synchronized well at some points. If it would be up to me, I’d probably make a requirement for dancers not to have any tattoos. Let’s say, when I am thinking about sexuality, I really don’t want to get distracted by a childish “hello kitty” tattoo that one of the girls had.
Probably the part that I enjoyed the most was the pole dance and the scenes with the bathtub. I liked it overall, I think it’s a fun show to see for couples.
There is a whole lot of ways to draw public attention to your irresistible self, but the next case can simply render you speechlessly perplexed, especially if you at least a bit care for your appearance, particularly, the look of your legs.
It was one of those entertainment TV shows, Shopaholics, aired on Russian MTV channel, with very simple set of rules. Several contestants are given 5000 RUB each (approximate equivalent for 160 USD) and a restricted span of time (an hour, seemingly) to stir up their creative inner-stylist while rushing around the designated mall and hunting up the garments. Afterwords, finds are put on, exhibited in front of jury’s panel, judged and mocked on by the respective board and the decision upon winner is brought out.
Short clip of the Shopaholics, that we offer for your amusement alongside this post, shows popular Russian TV/radio host and fashion model Victoria Bonya, as she is impertinently getting rid of pantyhose right away on the faux catwalk stage. The broadcast is in Russian, so let’s highlight vital points in conversation.
When the clip commences, Victoria is praised on her choice of dress and hair-do by the first stylist and suddenly he came to halt with flattering to make a remark about her tights. To put it the way he said it might have sounded like ‘they knocked me out’.
While the main stylist, Vitaliy Kozak, haven’t even taken his opportunity to end the phrase, the resourceful participant of Shopaholics interrupted him, expeditiously catching at the chance to remedy the situation, ‘I can take them off! Would you like?..’ Then two of judging stylists seemed to goad her in a jest to doing thus, but Bonya pulled up the hem of her dress and started to wriggle out of reportedly misused pantyhose.
The jury was stunned, but our bold competitor effortlessly and shamelessly proceeded, ‘Look, I’m a fashion model, and as you know they, models, are used to putting things on and undressing straight away at the show. It’s not that complicated… You know why (I opted to wearing tights under the dress)?.. Because of the shoes! Don’t know why, those spangles led me astray!’
Pantyhose were thrown away, new Victoria’s look sans tights was approved without exception. Moreover, male stylist dilated on the subject of pantyhose having suggested to wear them only in the winter and strictly under the trousers (everyone is entitled to their opinion, so we will skip this statement without response).
In her behind-the-scene commentaries, the girl also elaborates on her prompt decision, ‘I realized if I would not have taken the tights, that would be my blunder. So I eagerly doffed them without any concern of cameras and the like. I terribly apologise if somebody was embarrassed by this move, but I didn’t take off the underwear, it was just tights!’
As the bottom line, it’s obvious, that daring blonde appeared much better looking after having replaced matte pantyhose with her tanned bare skin. However, the question yet abides: what were you thinking of meanwhile picking up all that attire, given that you were surely aware the duds should come in line with each other. Maybe, to strut all your stuff at once?
Black dress with a gaudy pompous frills athwart, perked up with nude sparkly pumps, and finally diluted by lustreless, apparently thickish for the-purpose-in-hand legwear. Why don’t simply position one thing into focus and gather the rest pieces in accordance to the staple garment? In the end, you don’t ascribe your faulty look to shoes or hosiery or whatever, if it was you who chose them!
Elissey Kostsov, one of the judges.

*Dear Friends, please note that the only source of funding for your blog are your purchases at the shop section. I invite you to have a look at some nice stockings and pantyhose. Please keep that in mind.*
One of my favourite channels on Youtube is by Karen who is a single lady (she was married, but her husband tragically died) and she runs a fun and flirty show about how to start dating again for the 2nd time. That’s why her channel is Love Encore – meaning Love Again.
Karen is a self-proclaimed Cougar and she shares ideas on sex and dating on her blog, Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter. I admire her confidence and resilience.
Youtube for some reason had a different opinion about Karen because she was sending out too many videos, so they deleted her original channel without notice. Please subscribe to her new channel here:
In the episode below Karen speaks to women who run a lingerie shop about why it is important to wear nice undergarments and she also tells a story about how she got tangled up in her stockings and garter belt. They also touch up on a new bedroom trend – body jewellery!
In these photos you can see how Xiamen Airline hires air hostesses. It is very common in China to have such a tough interview to choose flight attendants. Does this look like a beauty competition to you or like a test for the army? They check these girls to the teeth, literally! Also, in some cases flight attendants need to learn Kung Fu in order to keep their job.
There is a whole entertainment show around it where girls compete and show off their talents like singing.
I would also like to say that I recently got to interview a flight attendant about hosiery for Finn Magazine (stands for Feet IN Nylon). My article is going to be in their next issue that is going to be out in December and I am very proud of that. You can subscribe for their next issue here – www.finnmagazine.com
Friends, I apoligize that I am not able to present more information, but most of information on this topic is in Chinese and I was not able to find anyone who speaks it and who would volunteer their time to run a Google search. Tried, 4 times. One of my distant acquaintances, who I’d rather not inform too much about my blog, helped to translate the title on the banner in these photos – Xiamen Airlines Hires Air Hostesses. At least that helped me a little bit with research. If for some reason you are able to add more to this, please drop me an e-mail. Thanks!
Images below are from Bejing Airlines:
Update: I managed to find a Chinese person to help me! She found what I was looking for immediately as soon as she typed in the keywords in Chinese. The sad part is that she wasn’t long around to translate.
Youku channel has a lot of videos from that competition TV show! I hope to spend some more time working on it to put together a good story for you. There are some videos on Youtube from Hainan airlines too.
Finn Magazine is the only Canadian magazine that focuses on the beauty of hosiery and women’s legs. I am pleased to present this interview with the editor and PR manager of Finn Magazine, Mr. John Zueck.
How did you come up with the name Finn? Does it actually have anything to do with Finland?
We get that a lot. There were a few other suggestions on the table as well but Finn just felt about right at that moment. It stands for feet innylon and I think gives the idea of what we offer the best.
What was it that inspired you to start your own magazine focusing on legs and hosiery?
As far as back I can remember I always looked for a magazine that captures what I’m into kind of thing. I was lucky enough to find a couple magazines that offered what I like. I was really excited but they were not kind of magazines that I could read in the public, like school, the park or even in my apartment. I had to hide them so no one could see them. I thought why wouldn’t there be a magazine which I don’t have to hide. I’ve never thought I would be a part of it though.
What was the hardest part of starting this magazine? I am sure that gathering your team from all over the world isn’t easy.
Working with people who are into same fetish with you is awesome. We met our photographer on vacation. We were in a restaurant and he was taking photos of her girlfriend’s feet. Right there we mentioned him our project and offered him a job. The hardest part to start up a magazine would be to decide “are you ready? and do you really want to do it?” So far everything went so good and we hope it to be so for the future too.
I wonder what the gender breakdown of your readers is. I could imagine that most women would get very curious when they see a nice pair of shoes on the cover.
We have been contacted by some of our women customers who purchase the magazine for their friends or husbands. I can’t really say how many of them actually buys Finn for themselves. It would be nice to know though.
Why do you think that hosiery became such a rare site these days? I am amazed to see young women in December going to Christmas parties in evening dresses and bare legs.
I see a better future for hosiery. I mean It may not be where it deserves to be today but it certainly in a better place where it was 10 years ago. I have to say though due to nature of my business I travel a lot and I can say that hosiery is much more common in Europe than in North America. It’s almost the opposite when you compare them. You barely see a pair of bare legs on the streets of London, Paris or Moscow especially in winter. Whereas women in North America prefer to wear pants but it’s changing thanks to celebrities and commercials.
A lot of straight men who visit my blog admit wearing pantyhose for fun and comfort. Does Finn Magazine have any position when it comes to men who enjoy wearing hosiery?
I am aware of this trend. In fact one of my neighbors in the building where I used to live wore them in public and very colorful ones too. Everyday a different kind and color he used to wear. I certainly appreciate his courage about being this open. It’s kind of like our motto for Finn letting people know what you’re into.
Based on what criteria do you choose your models? I wonder what kind of a woman would make the perfect Finn cover girl.
We have never worked with a modeling agency. In fact we met all our models on the street and most of them had pantyhose on at the time we met them. We explain them what we do, some of them say no and some agrees to work with us. A perfect Finn girl is who knows there are guys out there who find her more attractive in pantyhose and she uses this perfectly.
I am sure that you get people who ask why someone would want to create a magazine with a focus on feet. What do you say to those people on who are on a completely different wavelength when it comes to viewing feet as an attractive body part?
I have to admit I like telling people what I do. Most give me a face wondering if I’m normal at first. Especially women who ask “A magazine for pantyhose and feet, are you crazy? Being a part of something somewhat unusual makes a great conversation with people who I newly met too. I like what I do and I’m glad I’m involved in this project.
This year is almost over. Do you have any New Year Resolutions for Finn Magazine to accomplish in 2013?
The first and most important goal for us would be to make Finn a monthly magazine. Right now it is published four times a year. We didn’t think it would draw this much attention.
Finn magazine comes out four times a year and you can subscribe for the next issue here. It is an excellent choice if you’re into pantyhose and foot in nylon. www.finnmagazine.com
I went to a comedy in Vancouver and I was jumping up and down in my seat when they played this video in the intermission. I couldn’t believe it!
This actor does a formal talk about business events. But as soon as he is finished, he walks off, revealing his bottom half in pantyhose and high heels. His confidence is outstanding!
If you live in Vancouver, consider visiting Vancouver Theatre Sports League for great entertainment. They are located on Granville Island. Go see them, it’s actually proven that laughter is good for you on both spiritual, mental, and physical levels.
