I came across a book on the internet called “Being a goddess for your man” and there was an interesting reference to Sophia Loren there to demonstrate how a true lady can handle herself in a classy and calm way even in the most provoking situation.
At a press-conference, a journalist started to publicly criticize Sophia’s outfit, but such behavior didn’t make her uncomfortable. She politely said to him that it is entertaining to see a movie critic pay so much attention to a piece of fabric rather than the film itself. Sophia Loren asked him to tell the audience if everything is alright with his intimate life because he is so focused on her pantyhose.
This heckler was silenced and Sophia Loren demonstrated once again the power of her femininity.
P.S. Thank you to Nikolaj from Germany for supplying me with a whole gallery of Sophia Loren photos. I am going to keep on releasing them on social media and for future articles.
I just watched a very nice talk on body proportions and styling by Orly Shay from Tel Aviv. She actually created her own software called Mipso to help people choose proper glasses for their face and proper clothing to optimize their figure.
“Shay, a styling expert, will prove on the TEDxTelAviv stage that fashion and design is not subjective and not art – it’s completely math and exact science.”
One example she gave was about the length of her dress. It was just below the knee with a fitted waistline. She said that choosing a dress that length hides where her legs begin from and lets your mind imagine that she has very long legs. We can also see that she is wearing slimming black sheer tights and a pair of nice high heels.
It’s just our nature, golden ratio is appealing to the eye and we react positively to whatever our eye finds visually appealing. Orly says that choosing the right clothing can help to dress for success. If you want, you can watch her entire video here – Orly Shay, TED Talk, Tel Aviv.
Nobody in the world has the same body combination, let’s embrace our uniqueness, not even twins. Only one is yours! Bring it out and make it count.
I just came across these photos of Chiara Ferragni on an Italian site. Looks like she is one of the new faces for Calzedonia brand. She is showing off her legs in pantyhose. I can’t wait for spring to start wearing outfits like this again.
These are Olbia tights by Fiore. They are sheer, with a red band around the thigh. These pictures are of my teen cousin playing dress up in my clothes and my shoes. She had so much fun and she loves pantyhose!
These tights were previously modeled by Julia earlier. She is a good friend of mine and she loves pantyhose. How come all these women just love the red detailing?
This is one of those moments when you don’t recognize what’s on the legs because it looks so different on the package. When my cousin put it on, I wondered where she got it from because it looked like nothing that I remembered giving her.
Don’t you think it looks quite different from the photo on the cover?
I shall say that this is the first time in almost a decade that I am going bowling. I’ve been asking many times to go, but then something would come up. Coincidentally I got my hands on a coupon book that offered a deal on bowling and I took off there with my teen cousin who is visiting from abroad.
She spent at least an hour getting ready, so I figured to put on a funky shirt and some cool fishnets (a gift from a fan, thanks Marty!) to share her enthusiasm. She is wearing Maloria tights by Fiore in case you are wondering with tight gym shorts over them.
We were both surprised that this bowling alley only had 5 pin version and smaller balls. Turns out that this is a true Canadian way to bowl. It is a little bit tougher to play than regular 10 pin bowling. We had a lot of fun and it was a new challenge for both of us.
My cousin came for a visit and started to play dress up with my shoes and pantyhose. She’ll be taking a bunch of hose home with her. In these photos I am wearing orange shoes and she is wearing beige shoes.
Despite her bimbo looks, Svetlana Volnova actually has a programming degree. Somehow this didn’t help her to exercise some logic when she fell victim to a scammer while she was herself trying to avoid paying customs fees for importing her car.
She bought a car in United States to save some money. But when she brought it to Ukraine, turned out that the duties on that car were as much as what she paid for it.
The car was 30,000 USD when she bought it US and the same car would cost 84,000 USD.
So to avoid those customs fees, she got someone who promised her to arrange so she won’t pay. Of course, that was a scammer who simply just took her money – $9,000 USD.
Customs followed up by taking away her car and presenting her with a fine of $8,000. Eventually she managed to get it all settled, but it was a lesson for her.
