Sophia Loren and how she handled criticism about her looks

I came across a book on the internet called “Being a goddess for your man” and there was an interesting reference to Sophia Loren there to demonstrate how a true lady can handle herself in a classy and calm way even in the most provoking situation.

At a press-conference, a journalist started to publicly criticize Sophia’s outfit, but such behavior didn’t make her uncomfortable. She politely said to him that it is entertaining to see a movie critic pay so much attention to a piece of fabric rather than the film itself. Sophia Loren asked him to tell the audience if everything is alright with his intimate life because he is so focused on her pantyhose.

This heckler was silenced and Sophia Loren demonstrated once again the power of her femininity.

Fantastic Visit to Wolford Boutique on Rodeo Drive, Los Angeles

On my trip to Los Angeles I really wanted to see that legendary Rodeo Drive. If there would be a Wolford boutique in that city, I was confident it would be there. I bet that this is where all the celebrities go to buy their hosiery.

I was really excited to go in for a visit. As I walked in, a really pleasant lady named Trystan greeted me and I asked her about the new styles for the summer. Right away I saw one that I liked, it was a pair of stay ups with a red welt. She told me more about that style, as if she had a telepathic sense of what I wanted to know about it.
The manager, Elizabeth, was also working that day. Both of them were dressed really nicely. I explained to them that I wanted to take a few pictures for my blog (please ask permission as there are some restrictions on photography there) and they even helped me to arrange the leg mannequins for a better angle.

In a small table there was a binder full of celebrity photos who enjoy Wolford. They even had some photographs there from Helmut Newton. Famous women like Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, and Katie Perry are known to wear Wolford for their performances.

If you are ever on Rodeo Drive, go ahead and visit Wolford. It’s a really nice atmosphere and friendly service despite posh neighbourhood. You’ll feel like a celebrity too!

Renee Zellweger finds pantyhose essential

During filming of the movie “New in Town”, Renee Zellweger admits that it was very cold and she had to wear several pairs of pantyhose at once to stay warm.

“I never imagined that I would rejoice at the sight of multiple pairs of pantyhose laid out on the bed by the wardrobe people every morning.”

She’s right about that, it’s an essential accessory. Even though it doesn’t look like there is much material, this thin garment can make a big difference.

Even though I haven’t seen that new movie, but based on the trailer I think that Renee was referring to sheer nude pantyhose because it doesn’t look like she’s wearing it from afar.

I learned from the manager of Wolford in Toronto that Beyonce wears Neon 40 pantyhose in Gobi shade. “It’s her colour!” – the lady said. Looking at these images, you can see that it works great with her outfit.

Rihanna is one of those music stars who actually appreciates expensive hosiery! A quick Google search revealed that she wears Wolford quite a lot. Here is a photo from London, Brit Awards 2012. This is a Wolford design called “bondage”.

There is also a brave picture of Rihanna in leopard print stay ups by Wolford called “Leo”. Well, I am sure that only stars like Rihanna can get away with such bald fashion.

On the cover of GQ she is posing in fishnets with a reinforced sole. Not sure what brand those are, but some kind of hosiery is better than nothing. I hope she starts a trend! To my surprise she is only 24 years old, so she still has a lot of time in front of her to rock the world.

There she is, beautiful and provocative! She used to be a model before her soccer career. Even though she is wearing fishnets, I am glad to see that she is in fact wearing some kind of hosiery. Better than going bare legged!
