Wearing Helia 20 den tights by Fiore

June 25, 2016 under Fiore

Heila is one of the limited editions by Fiore, no longer produced. I like styles like that with a subtle pattern and a t-top. I wore these tights around the house and then headed for a walk outside, wearing a pair of flats and a jean skirt.

Just for the photos, I put a pair of orange heels to look more like the model on the package of the tights.

I personally think that this kind of pattern at the back would look best with some form of a gothic outfit. I’d totally wear that to a heavy metal concert. How would you wear something like that?

Polka Dot Pantyhose – Odd or Not?

April 25, 2014 under Photoshoots

I saw another blog featuring this outfit and I really liked the pantyhose.  No matter how bad the photos are, pantyhose always catches my eye.

I would like to open a discussion to whether even the cutest pattern can really be a fashion crime. In my opinion this is one of those cases.

polka dot pantyhose 1 - fashion faux pas, fashion crime, poor styling, bad matching of clothing polka dot pantyhose 2 - fashion faux pas, fashion crime, poor styling, bad matching of clothing

Maybe she is just starting to model, but I’d seriously think about the theme of the shoot. This girl was competing with other models for some giveaway, but she didn’t win.  Could it be for the lack of styling?

However, I’ll tell you the truth, I was confused about the rest! Summer sandals combined with a sweater? Matrix-style stern sun glasses and vixen leather totally clashes with the innocent playful polka dot, and that garbage bin in the background ruins the composition.

I applaud her for trying though and for wearing pantyhose, even with those summer shoes that I think would look much better with tan 8 den rather than black and patterned hosiery.

What kind of hosiery would you choose for this outfit in order to make it a winner?

Crystal Renn in Pantyhose and Stockings

February 15, 2014 under Photoshoots, Weird

Perhaps this model grabs my attention for the only reason that she poses in pantyhose and stockings. Otherwise, I find her quite unbalanced in her looks and in her ways.

Crystal Renn used to be a skinny model with eating disorders, then she wanted to get healthy and gained enough weight to be plus size. Later she went back to being skinny again. Now she is somewhere in between.

Monica Bellucci and Her Story

January 25, 2013 under Famous
by David, United States

Monica Bellucci in black pantyhose in a sexy pose with a cleavage“After love, the man sleeps, while the woman reflects”

This is one of several insightful quotations attributed to Italian actress and model Monica Bellucci. Monica was born in 1964 in Citta di Castello, Umbria, right in the center of Italy. While attending the University of Perugia, located in the capital of Umbria, Monica began taking on modeling assignments to help pay for her schooling.

Soon her side job began to accelerate faster than her studies; she left college and moved to Milan in 1988 and signed with her first and current agency Elite model management. Monica started getting attention for her work on both sides of the Atlantic, her images were featured in Dolce & Gabbana, Men’s health, Maxim and French Elle.

Then, with some minor television roles in 1990, her modeling career transitioned into a more successful one in acting. “In 10 years I’ve done so many things. In the beginning I didn’t know if I was still a model, if I was an actress. I knew I wanted to be an actress, but it was so difficult to be believed. Now things are going better and better and the proposals I have are much more interesting than five years ago. It’s like getting older is getting better”, she told one interviewer. Movie credits include L’Appartement, Malena, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Irreversible, Tears of the Sun, The Matrix Reloaded, The Passion of the Christ, The Brothers Grimm, Don’t Look Back, and the Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

Monica Bellucci in pantyhoseUpon mentioning Monica to an associate, he gasped. After calming my friend down I asked him what was the cause of his strong reaction to my mention of such a beautiful woman. “It is because of Irreversible. I sat in the theater and watched her in a horrible, graphic rape scene that lasted eleven minutes….”  Indeed, “Irreversible” is a film so violent and cruel that most have found it unwatchable. It won the Stockholm International Film Festival award for best picture.” The final scene is presented in the beginning, and is an eleven minute long torturous public park rape scene…

Monica made this comment about the film to another reporter: “I’m not scared by nudity, because for me, nothing is more beautiful than a body. You can have such an amazing emotion from a body. In Irreversible (2002), I treated my body like it was an object and it’s great when you can have this kind of relation with your body, it’s a part of your job, an object you can work with. When you can have this kind of freedom it’s the moment where you can give your best as an actress”.

Written by Jessica

My friends, if you like to see some photos of pantyhose models, I recommend to visit WamInStyle website.  I even had a pleasure of meeting them this summer when I was visiting Russian and we even collaborated on a photoshoot.

Their main theme is wetlook – it’s a fun of doing something that your mother told you to never do, i.e. get your fancy clothes wet.  Their models can walk into a fountain or jump into a river during their photoshoots.  Having said that, they absolutely love pantyhose and stockings, so majority of their shoots don’t go without some kind of hosiery involved.

There is currently a special on subscription to WamInStyle.  Their pantyhose models are just divine, up for any kind of play!

Also, to my knowledge, they accept requests from their members and even non-members who are interested in a specific photoshoot.

My Vacation in Las Vegas

September 13, 2012 under News

This summer I did something that is for sure going to be a memory of a lifetime – a coast to coast road trip in United States.  You can read about all different places I’ve been to in my diary section, but for now I’d like to talk about my great visit to Las Vegas.

Vegas, the Sin City, is a very unique place.  Surrounded by the desert, this “island” has an unbelievable density of casinos, clubs, bars, shows, theatres, buffets, and whatever else crosses your mind that is entertainment-related.  It was my first time there and I wanted it to be memorable, but in a positive way.

Maybe the concept of “me in Vegas” is a little bit of an oxymoron.  I don’t drink, smoke, use any kind of substances, and I don’t gamble.  Obviously I checked out all the casinos, but that was more to look at the beauty of the establishment.

Casino waitresses were wearing mostly black semi-opaque pantyhose, but they were not exactly model types as I imagined them to be.  However the go-go dancers on the bar were very beautiful, but instead of regular pantyhose they were wearing either nude or black fishnets.  There was so many of them there!

Probably my only guilty addiction is my love for tea!  But that’s something that made me puff up almost every single time I’d enter a hotel room in United States – coffee is there, tea is not.  I felt like throwing a real hissy fit over this, but I quickly realized where I am and calmed down.  In Canada tea is a very popular beverage because we still have a lot of British traditions there.

I felt it every single day on my trip – United States is not a British place.  So why would they honour traditions of the “Old Country”, as our Canadian folks refer to England and France?  That includes all the etiquette which is pretty much a very British thing… such as tea and perhaps wearing hosiery.  I think this might be an explanation to why Kate Middleton is in pantyhose and Lady Obama isn’t.

Vegas is a controversial place where you may see things that you normally don’t.  There is a lot of fast food and even the Heart Attack Grill with a motto of “if you are over 350 lbs, you eat free”.  I climbed on the scale there and realized that I need to triple my weight in order to get a free lunch.

Another controversial topic is what happens after Friday night.  As we were heading out of Vegas on Saturday morning, at 8:58 a.m. there was a long line up of people outside of the pawn shop waiting for the doors to open.  They were not there to shop, but to swap some item for a quick coin.

They’ve got the best Hooters hotel there though with hostesses everywhere!  There was even a limbo game going on and they were having a lot of fun.  I also ate at the Hooters restaurant for the experience.  It broke some of my stereotypes about Hooters, let’s just say.  I thought that they only hired women with a full bust, but there was not much of it there.  Also, I noticed that they even had a pregnant waitress there with her shirt saying “baby on board”.  It made me feel that the girls who worked there were actually real, not some artificially-enhanced vixens.

At some point I saw a tourist dressed like Snow White with his friends who were wearing green shirts and were supposed to be the dwarves.  Right away I asked him to pose together for a picture and to my surprise he agreed and wanted a photo for himself too.  As soon as I pulled up my skirt to show the stockings, he was totally game and pulled it up even higher.  I am sure that he didn’t expect a woman in a proper knee length skirt like mine to have stockings and garter belt under!

My biggest highlight was my visit to Cirque du Soleil.  I really wanted to see the show Zumanity, but they went on vacation, so I saw a martial arts themed show called Ka.  That was so worth it!  Let’s just say, just like most normal people, I have a limited budget, but I would rather spend it all on exhilarating experiences like this one, rather than on clothes or high end dining. These performers devote their whole life to the circus and I have the deepest respect for that.

I really liked Vegas in my own way and I keep on thinking of when I’ll go back there for longer, so I can visit all those shows that kept on teasing me with the flashing billboards.

Anne Hathaway and Her Amazing Career Path

August 4, 2012 under Famous

On these photos she looks so pretty, posing for British Gentleman Quarters in black pantyhose and a corset.

Anne Hathaway is one of my favourite actresses.  I like her because she is cute, naturally slim, and she’s got a lot of spirit.  I can’t quite say exactly what it is, but there is a special spark to her.

Anne Jacqueline Hathaway was born on November 12, 1982 in Brooklyn, New York.  Her love for the theatre developed in childhood because of her love for art.  She started getting roles to play as a child in 1998 in the theatre.  As a teenager, she went to study at Barrow Group, a prestigious theater company in New York, but only for a brief time.

Her career rise begun when she appeared on the television show Get Real, where she played the role of a Princess.  Through it she gained vast popularity that made her a hit among the movie producers.   Consequently, Anne Hathaway took the lead role in “The Princess Diaries”.  In 2001 the film was released and Anne Hathaway charmed millions of Movie watchers worldwide.

The actress became a vegetarian in 2009 after reading the book "Eating Animals" – by Jonathan Safran Foer.  Anne has two brothers – Michael Senior and Tom Junior. They are also creative people – Michael is a writer, and Tom wants to become an actor.
Anne is very accepting to gay people since her own brother, Michael, is gay.  It even made her reconsider being part of the Catholic faith, since they don’t consent to this kind of diversity.

One of her roles made her a role model for children – Mia Thermopolis in the Disney movie Princess Diaries. She also co-starred with the legendary award winning actress Julie Andrews. The movie was a great success at the box office and with critics.

Christian Bale films Batman in the streets of Los Angeles

In 2004, Anne Hathaway starred in the sequel Princess Diaries 2: How to Become a Queen, which is not as good as the first one though.  Her role in Disney films has given her more fame and hit in the movie industry.  She appeared in Nicholas Nickelby (2002) and received her National Board of Film Critics Award.  Hathaway starred in many movies and here are a few popular ones:

  • Ella Enchanted (2004)
  • Havoc (2005)
  • Brokeback Mountain (2005)
  • The true story of the Red Caps (2005)
  • The Devil Wears Prada (2006)
  • Passengers (2008)
  • Get Smart (2008)
  • Hood vs. Evil (2008)

Since her first appearance on the big screen, Anne Hathaway has been nominated for more than 10 awards.  Hollywood today is filled with many glamorous stars – and Anne Hathaway is definitely one of them.
