Review of Total Slim 20 Pantyhose

May 14, 2017 under Fiore

Total Slim 20 pantyhose with shaping effectOne of my male customers bought a shaping pair by Fiore called Total Slim 20 and he left a review. He did mention though at some point that it could be because his male body is not shaped the same as the female body that the top doesn’t stay up high enough.

by Paul, 4 out of 5 star rating, he tried a pair in XL size:

“I love the firmness and feel of these pantyhose! I would have rated them a 5, but the panty isn’t long enough in the torso to keep them from slipping down. (BTW, Jessica is wonderful to work with!)”

October 6, 2013 under Interviews

TV host Tatiana Ramus:  “Greetings to all viewers of the TV program “Pay attention”.  What do men notice first, when they secretly look at a woman?  It is unlikely that some will say say that they stare at the face, but for sure at the legs, especially if at that time those legs are in beautiful pantyhose.

Today we are going to advice women how to choose this nylon accessory which allows to change your look throughout the day.  And, we are going to show the men that this wardrobe detail is as important to women as a tie for a man.”

Brunette TV host: “The women in trousers have occupied urban streets but the men still look for legs in pantyhose and stockings. What is more interesting to them, legs or pantyhose? It seems that such clothing magically influence men.”

Brunette TV host: These 100 grams of nylon make your legs look perfect!

Psychologist Oksana Nikitina: “The woman wearing pantyhose has a closed personality, it is like so called chastity belt. The woman wearing stockings has an open personality. Men react not only to pantyhose and stockings but how the woman carries herself”.

Brunette TV host: “A woman uses more than 240 pairs of pantyhose during the year and to save them you should know more about this nylon miracle.” [Even though this is said in the show, it doesn’t seem to be true.]

Director of hosiery factory Maxim Kuzmenko: “Here we have very big range of pantyhose and they all consist of polyamide and elasthane threads. The comfort, price and so on depend on the quantitative composition of these two these yarns.”

Hosiery Selection at a Store

Brunette TV host: “6 km of thread and 3 million of stitches are used to manufacture a pair of tights. There are thick or thin tights the, difference is only in deniers. So what is it and how to find out what deniers are?”

Director of hosiery factory Maxim Kuzmenko: “The thicker thread that is delivered, the thicker the manufactured product.”

Brunette TV host: “The price depends on the denier and whether the product is produced by a foreign or by a Ukrainian (local) factory.”

Sales Assistant Svetlana Pavlenko “Here we have Ukrainian tights produced by Nika – Nikopol Factory”

Brunette TV host: “There is plenty of variety in stores in our capital.”

Low Rise Styles

Sales Assistant Svetlana Pavlenko “Young people prefer pantyhose with low waistline and there is also Brazilian type of pantyhose that make your tummy flatter and lifts your buttocks.”

Brunette TV host: “Wow, how does it work? Do you put on your tights and look 5 kg slimmer?”

Marketing Director Nataliya Esliuk: “Pantyhose are an accessory that can change your look. If you put on tights with vertical line pattern, you look slimmer. If you put on tights with horizontal line, then the legs look wider. If you take tights with dots or some other shapes they will hide all of your weak points and present your legs from the best side.”

Brunette TV host: “Wow, pantyhose are one of the fantastic things of 20th century. They make you slimmer and have no disadvantages.”

Colour can cause skin allergies

Dermatologist Yury Opanasenko: “It is advisable not to wear pantyhose during the warm days of the year because they increase moisture content of the skin and this can lead to frequent infections for women, known as yeast. Colorful tights cause allergies and can provoke eczema and some other dermatitis.”

Brunette TV host: “Ok, I won’t wear them very often. But any way tights often rip and tear.”

Marketing Director Nataliya Yesliuk: “Pantyhose are a very delicate item, so it means they need special treatment. Usually, all manufacturers indicate laundry instructions on the packing. Generally, the washing temperature should not be more than 30 degrees and also there are many washing detergents for hosiery such as special shampoos and many others.”

Advantages of Sheer to Waist Pantyhose

July 4, 2013 under Practical
sheer to waist pantyhose

Sheer to Waist

I find that if pantyhose are of good quality, it really doesn’t matter if they have a control top or not – they’ll stay up properly without sagging.  I started having a preference for sheer to waist pantyhose just because they look so much better with high cut outfits.

Non-compressive and easy to put on, without the control top struggle, is actually the main benefit for me.  I’ve met women who would say that they are squashed by their pantyhose.

T-tops are also really nice, but the only thing for me is that they would show up at the inner leg if worn with a bodysuit, like let’s say a dance leotard.

If someone does need shapewear, I’d suggest to buy a bodysuit or shorts with a shaping element for that purpose that can be worn over and over again.  Pantyhose are best when they are simply sheer!

Pantyhose Patent by a Hollywood Star, Julie Newmar – the Original Cat Woman!

July 27, 2012 under Vintage

I was surprised to find on Google (totally by accident) that an actress Julie Newmar (born in 1933, played the original cat woman) came out with a pantyhose patent in the ’70s for shaping the behind, being ultra-sheer, and ultra-snug.

At least by what I found on Google, it looks like that patent was renewed in the year 2000.  So I guess it’s still being produced.

I’d love to meet her some day!  Even though she is in her 80’s now, she seems to be quite active.  It’s possible, I am not joking… I recently met up in Vancouver with Kecia Nyman, a supermodel from the 60’s.  We even went out for some cappuccino and cakes on Granville Island.  Who’d think of that, eh?

Her First Patent:

Patent number: 3914799
Filing date: Sep 25, 1974
Issue date: 1975

Update: as it is noted below by David from United States, Julie Newmar got famous through a Broadway musical called `the silk stocking`.  Here is the vintage poster picture I found from that show.

May the Race be Seamless!

July 25, 2012 under Practical

I found this photo online from the races…  This young woman is quite attractive and  not at all overweight, but she is for sure in need of some fashion, and most importantly, shaping advice.

Have a closer look, you’ll see all sorts of panty lines, muffin tops, seams, lumps, creases, along with a completely exposed pantyhose control top.

Faced with this challenge, I asked an expert to resolve this situation.

I thought that the best people to ask would be the biggest Canadian online shapewear retailer:  www.Shapings.com

Here are some points made by Robert from Shapings.com on how to make this model look her best at the event by choosing her undergarments smartly.

Underwear: None or Seamless

Panties are not necessary in this case, but if the woman insists, it should be seamless.  Of course, it should be of proper size so that it doesn’t cut into the skin and result in a bulge.

No Control Top!

With a high cut outfit like that there is no excuse for wearing pantyhose with a reinforced panty.

Pantyhose: Seamless

Seamless pantyhose would take care of any seam lumps in the front and at the back of the outfit. http://www.shapings.com/pantyhose/seaml … yhose.html

Fishnets: Smooth High Waistband

Fishnet pantyhose would not have a seam and they can be worn over seamless pantyhose.  It is important to have a smooth and flat waistband that goes high up to prevent it cutting into the hips and resulting in the "muffin top" effect.

Final Touch: Seamless Bodysuit

On these photos it looks to be cold outside, so this woman would benefit from wearing a seamless bodysuit over her hosiery.  This would smooth everything out.  The bottom of the panty would match up with the bottom of the outfit.
