#1 Pantyhose Pet Peeve – Sagging

These are photos from some Russian concert with promo girls in short outfits dancing to the music.  Most likely the weather was so cold that they needed to keep their jackets on and wear pantyhose so they don’t freeze.

But do you notice that one of the girls (the one in the orange red jacket) is having problems with her pantyhose falling below her skirt?  Uncomfortable and embarrassing.

The blondie model was smarter, she put on control top pantyhose that usually stays up better.  However her hemline failed to cover the lines, thus taking away from her glamorous look.

The best way to avoid two of the above scenarios is to get quality grands that are sheer to waist and elastic.  If it is design right and has a proper fit and waistband, it should not sag or drop like that.

Advantages of Sheer to Waist Pantyhose

Sheer to Waist

I find that if pantyhose are of good quality, it really doesn’t matter if they have a control top or not – they’ll stay up properly without sagging.  I started having a preference for sheer to waist pantyhose just because they look so much better with high cut outfits.

Non-compressive and easy to put on, without the control top struggle, is actually the main benefit for me.  I’ve met women who would say that they are squashed by their pantyhose.

T-tops are also really nice, but the only thing for me is that they would show up at the inner leg if worn with a bodysuit, like let’s say a dance leotard.

If someone does need shapewear, I’d suggest to buy a bodysuit or shorts with a shaping element for that purpose that can be worn over and over again.  Pantyhose are best when they are simply sheer!

Top 10 Myths about Pantyhose – can you help me with this list?

I’d like to create a list of what kind of things people say about pantyhose.  Some of this applies, but to cheap brands and when you are not wearing your size!  Can you help me with this list?

1) Falls down between the legs

2) Unfashionable

3) Obsolete

4) Over-priced

5) Not Healthy

6) Itchy

7) Not for youth

8) Causes pain

9) Not for cold weather

10) Not for warm weather

Please help me to improve this and I’ll put it on a separate page for readers to see at all times.  I would also like to include an explanation to why this is not true.  (ex. different denier for different weather)

update – this list is now published under A Dozen Myths
