A gift for International Women’s Day

Just recently there was a big holiday for me – 8th of March. You probably don’t even know what it is, so I’ll tell you, it’s the International Women’s Day. Some countries celebrate, some don’t. But I celebrate it to the fullest, embracing equality and femininity. This year I got a few presents even, from my parents, grandfather, my guy (yes, those roses are still looking awesome), and even one of my fans.

Isn’t it lovely to get a box full of presents from a fan, someone you only know through the love of pantyhose? So I opened this box of surprises on 8th of March and took a few pictures of me even modeling several items. Naturally, there a huge stash of pantyhose for me to try on, not to mention lots of jewellery and two dresses.

Merry Christmas!

stockings and lingerie

I had a wonderful Christmas day with my neighbours.

They got me a beautiful fascinator hat as a present and I also got them a whole bunch of different gifts, both practical and nice.

I wore a sparkly pink dress and pantyhose with sparkly pink butterflies. Actually those pantyhose were a gift from one of the fans of this site!

What is the most non-traditional gift that you have ever received?

My parents keep on asking me what I want to get as a present.  It’s a tough one.  Most of the time they are completely out of ideas.  It gets to a point that I either need to tell them what I need and be very specific, otherwise they will get something completely useless to me.

This year things worked out well.  I wanted to take a computer course for a long time already, so I told my parents that they can just cover the cost of the course as a present for me.  I’m very happy and excited about this, I signed up today.

Maybe this is not the main stream type of gift, but for sure I won’t forget it and it might make a big difference in the long run.

Would you ever consider sending your friend or relative for a course as a present?

Vintage stockings and pantyhose present from England

This morning started for me with a very special moment.  I finally got my hands on a long-awaited parcel from England, sent by James.  He found them in a shop that sells retro items in London.  What a selection of vintage pantyhose and vintage stockings!  I don’t know what to try first.  It’s been on my mind to get my hands on such stuff or a while.

I think that the first one that I’ll probably go for is the off white textured hose in the middle.  But I can’t see the label, looks like it’s been taken out of the package.  I am so excited and very grateful to James for finding this pantyhose treasure and sending it to me.

Brands and description on the package:

Kayser – Cotton Sense, plain knit tights with a cotton gusset give you the choice of wearing one garment rather than two.

Dolcis – Sheer Delight, guaranteed ladderproof, fair lady 10

Escort – Sheer Stockings, Miami Size 9 (S-M), Stockings with the look and feel of real silk, re-inforced toe band and patch heel for extra strength.

Wolford – Flamenco, the pantie stockings with the perfect fit (tried it on and it’s as strong as new!)

Trying on dark grey Wolford Pantyhose – Neon 40

These pantyhose were sent to me by my Canadian fan.  They are shiny, 40 denier, and very resistant.  Glorious Wolford Neon 40!

Here are some photos of me posing in them on the bed and at the grocery store.  Yes, that’s how I go grocery shopping!  Even for simple daily chores I prefer to look at least semi-decent.  In fact, at that grocery store I ran into probably at least 10 people from work, so I don’t want to look bad if that happens.

Thank you for sending them to me, my Canadian friend, they are very special!  This memory will stay with me forever of how I tried Wolford Neon 40 pantyhose.

Update at a later date:  I traveled with this pantyhose all over the world and let another model try it – she loved it!

Spick and Span Magazine – Vintage Lingerie

I am glad to point out that now I own an original copy of Spick and Span thanks to my fan who sent me these scans!  He shipped me the original.  It was a breath-taking experience to hold something that beautiful from the 1960’s.

I also couldn’t believe how real these British pin up girls looked.  They had sincere smiles and regular bodies, not like the cookie-cutter girls these days with a blank gaze in the magazines.

Spick and Span was a British magazine in 1960’s of women showing off their knickers, stockings, and bras.  At that time there was no pantyhose just yet, only stockings and garter belts.  One of my friends from the Netherlands has sent these scanned pictures and I am so pleased to be able to share these vintage pin up photos with you.

You can click on the photos to see enlarged version to read the text.

Besides lovely garter belts and stockings, I am drawn to the fact that these women are real people with a spark in their eyes and genuine smiles.  I am very grateful to get these photos from Spick and Span magazine and to be able to share them with you.

Later Gerard sent me a few copies to treasure!  I keep a Spick and Span magazine that tucked into a picture frame in my bedroom and this is the first thing I see in the morning when I wake up.  I love it!  My favourite photo is of a girl wearing a wreath with a fun story to go along with it.  Maybe I’ll scan it for you some day.

Trying on Wolford Pantyhose – Neon 40 in Gobi Shade

This was my first pair of Wolford Neon 40 pantyhose!  40 denier, shiny, Gobi shade.  I got it as a present from another Canadian pantyhose lover along with another pair in charcoal that I haven’t tried yet.

I was filled with anticipation to try it.  Such pantyhose costs a lot of money and it has never been in my price range to actually go ahead and buy.  A lot of people told me that it feels great and they were right.

As I was putting on that Neon 40 pantyhose, I even stopped half way just to pet it and to feel how smooth they were.  The fabric is really silky, elastic, and resistant to damage.

Thank you to my Canadian friend for sending it!  It is a gift of excitement, anticipation, thrill, and of course two great pairs of pantyhose that came with it.
