Tribute to pantyhose model Adrianne: created by Aton Digital Arts

As you may know from my previous article, recently one of the models cherished by the hosiery community tragically died.  Many people are still learning about this through forums or blogs like this one.

One of Adrianne’s fans, Aton, created this lovely tribute to her and I thought to share it with you.  I was surprised how much this drawing actually looks like Adrianne.  He painted it completely in photoshop with the use of several reference photos.

“There was something unique about her smile, sophisticated poses and the way she enhanced her shapely legs in hose.”, says Aton.  “Hopefully, her soul has found peace.”

passing of a pantyhose legend – model Adrianne

One of our pantyhose legends, Adrianne, has passed away at the age of 36.

I regret to say that in February of 2012 our online pantyhose community has lost a legend, model Adrianne.

“I am the open bird cage, I am the free bird; living in the moment and loving life.” – that was what she wrote about herself on her Facebook page.  Sadly, this intelligent young woman was only 36 when she departed for the better world.

Her modeling career started in late 1990’s, just after first internet browsers appeared.  She was one of the first pantyhose teaser models on the web and she left a big impression on many.

There were a lot of people who liked her, not only for her beauty and her genuine love for pantyhose, but for her approachable sunny personality.

“As I recall she was a very sweet and outgoing person“, says Sirchristo on the pantyhose forum.  Erik, another member of our community, highlights her easy-going character: “Every time I conversed with her she was really nice and friendly.”

Adrianne was originally from Massachusetts, but she resided in Indiana.  She loved animals, especially horses, and horseback riding was her favourite sport.  Adrianne’s intellect shines through her interest in Reiki healing and in spiritual books mentioned on her Facebook page.

“It’s a beautiful day for Pantyhose!”  – that was a wonderful tag line on Adrianne’s Facebook page to greet the world.  May our community remember her for her modeling contributions and her open and cheerful personality.  She lives on in the memories of many – smart, beautiful, and friendly.

Some of Adrianne’s Favourite Quotations:

A legendary woman who’s femininity lead to her success

Mary Kay and Pantyhose

Disclaimer:  in this article I am showing my respect for a female entrepreneur and her success, but I am in no way promoting any product here or recommending to join this company.

Some of you may know that I have a lot of friends from the Mary Kay circles.  One of them gave me a book to read on Mary Kay.  I didn’t expect much from it, but started to read it out of respect for the woman who gave me that book.  It turned out to be one of the best biographies that I’ve ever read.

Mary Kay believed that God made women feminine for a reason and instructed her sales representatives to always look their best.

Even though pants were already acceptable, she told women not to wear it and aim for the most well groomed professional lady appearance.  In her opinion, even men would respect a woman more who behaves and dresses like a lady.

Even though this woman came from a totally different time, her advice for women is very progressive even in these days.  For example, she says that you can’t afford NOT to hire a cleaning lady if you are planning to have a family and a career.

There were times when Mary Kay would be the only woman present at business meetings.  She’d walk into a room full of men and all the sudden they would become quiet and more polite in her presence.  Her feminine look, with diamonds and fancy hair, even though that she was already a grandma, would send the message that this is a lady and one should behave accordingly around her.

I truly admire this woman for having the courage to start her own company when she was already retired and make it against all odds.
