Natalia Vodianova is the ambassador for Sochi Olympics in 2014. “As an ambassador of Sochi-2014, I am focusing my efforts to raise awareness specifically towards Paralympic Games,” says Natalia. This is close to her heart since one of her sisters is disabled.
Natalia Vodianova is my favourite fashion model and she is often referred to as Cinderella because she literally went from rags to riches. While selling fruits and vegetables on the street to help her mother pay the bills, she was discovered by a modeling scout at the age of 16.
At 17 years old, Vodianova moved to Paris and started modeling for advertising campaigns for Cavin Klein, Louis Vuitton, L’Oreal, Marc Jacobs, Pepe jeans, Diane von Furstenberg and Chanel as well as appearing on the catwalks of Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Chloe, Marc Jacobs and many more.
It could also be that she is called Cinderella because of her marriage to the Honourable Justin Trevor Berkeley Portman, heir to a rich family that owns large parts of central London. They have three children and to the surprise of many people Natalia still has an amazing body with even no after-pregnancy adjustments. Sadly, her marriage didn’t last.
Not everyone was thrilled with her success. When she came back to her city after modeling in Paris, she was met with a lot of jealousy from other people. In one of her interviews she even mentioned that people threatened to cut her face, despite the noble reasons for her return.
The reason why she returned was to do something good for her country. In 2004 she started the Naked Heart Foundation, an organization that builds play parks for disadvantaged children across Russia.
To me this person is a source of inspiration and a perfect example of a woman who is beautiful on the inside just as much as she is on the outside.
